Cake card ~ Cricut Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge

Hello crafty friends,
Today I have made a simple masculine Birthday card. I don't know about you, but I have a really hard time making cards for men! Because its so hard for me I always feel super excited when I finally have one come out exactly as I envisioned. This is one of those cards, Lol.

For this card I used the Cricut Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. I LOVE this cartridge! This cartridge was one of the very first I got when I got my Cricut 7 years ago. It has so many little cuts that can be used on tons of things, but I tend to over look them and only use the dolls. :( But, not today!
The cut is one layer that I cut out out 2 times, one in brown, and one in white at 2.2 W x 1.7 H. I cut the Frosting and the cake stand off the white cake and added  cream pearl pen to the frosting and silver pen to the base to make the cake pop. The candle was cut by hand from scraps and the flame was colored with glitter marker.

I am entering my card into the Die Cuttin Divas #250 yum! Chocolate Cake Day

I hope you enjoyed my card and have a great day!!

Card recipe:
Card Size: A2 4.25 x 5.5

Cricut Cartridge: Everyday Paper Dolls, Cake pg 73 cut 2.2 x 1.7 (candle was cut by hand)

Papers: DCWV Christmas & Winter(Blue mat and band), DCWV The Guy Stack (Plaid Papers)

Embossing: Cuttlebug Happy Birthday

Extras: Martha Stewart  glitter marker, Recollection Silver pen, Viva Pearl Pen in Cream

I am so excited to be showing you some of the projects I've made using Stephanie's wonderful stamps. I had so much fun playing with them and I love how beautifully they stamp!!

For my first project I made a card for my friend that just had a baby. I used my new Spellbinders Nestabilities ( Label 17 ) to cut the beautiful background shape. The cute little stork was cut from the Cricut Lite "Sugar and Spice" cartridge. To finish it off I added black crinkle ribbon and stamped the sentiment from the "Whimsical Fun Vol 1" set on to glitter paper.

For this project I chose to do a layout. on this project the stamps are "Elves at Work!" and "No Peeking" both of these sentiments are from the "Snow Much Fun" set.
The cartridges I used are: Paper Doll Dress Up, Winter Frolic, Create a Critter, and Freshly Picked.

Here is my last project. For this card the adorable cake was cut from the Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge. I added crinkle ribbon, Stickles, and white gel pen. For the sentiment I used "Everyday Sentiments". I hope you enjoyed my project. I can't wait to see what I will create when you buy Stephanie's stamps. I know you're going to love them as much as I do!!
Now you are off to the wonderful Margie

Wishing you a Happy Birthday!

I made this card for my husbands cousin who's Birthday is around the corner. I knew after seeing this adorable digi stamp from Cindy over at Cindy's Little Creations That I needed to use her for this Birthday card.

For this card I used the spider web punch from Martha Stewart along the side and used my white gel pen to add stitching. The background paper is from K & Co last years Halloween line. The white paper was embossed with Cuttlebugs "Polka Dot" folder and that cute little witch is from Cindy over at Cindy's Little Creations and is called "Witch With A Banner." She was colored with my Prisma colored pencils and is pop dotted up on the polka dot paper. I added Stickles in "Lime Green", and "Orange Peel" and as a finishing touch I added little orange earrings.

On this card I also colored and re-cut, then, mounted on pop dots several parts of the image. (the banner w/sentiment, hat band, and patch.) Here is a closeup so you can see the great dimension it adds.

I hope you enjoyed my card and have a great day. :)

Video Game Birthday Card

My little brother had his birthday on Wednesday and I was having the hardest time coming up with a manly-ish birthday card for him so I started looking through some of the digital stamps I had and came across this one. I for the life of me can't remembers where it came from (I tried looking online for it again so I could give credit were credit is due but was unable to find it.). So if anyone knows where this digi came from, please let my know.

The papers came from DCWV's Dots, Stripes, and Plaids stack. The image was colored with my Prisma pencils.

Here is the inside of the card.
I hope you enjoyed and have a great holiday weekend. :)

Hope your Birthday is a Blast Rocket card

I made this card for 2 challenges.

My card inspiration today came from a baby blanket my mom made for my son Lucas. The background paper looks just like the pattern on the fabric. I love when I get inspired by the things that are around the house. :)

I cut the rocket and green mat from the Cricut Lite "B is for Boy" cartridge. I added Stickles for bling to the white parts, stars, and flames.

The sentiment was printed from my computer and punched with a Stampin' Up XL word window punch and inked in red.
I hope you enjoy and have a great day. :)

Birthday Bash Card

My Mom just reminded me that it is my Niece's 3rd Birthday tomorrow. So I made this super simple and quick card.

I used my brand new "Birthday Bash" cartridge to cut the elephant.

I used an "Action Wobble" to mount the elephant.

Here is the inside. The stamp is from the dollar bin at Michael's.
I hope you enjoy and have a great night.

Beautiful Birthday Card ~ Paper Playtime Challenge

I made this card for the Purple and Green challenge going on over at
I also made this for my Husbands Grandma Bess, her Birthday is tomorrow. I guess I'm cutting it pretty close but since she lives in the same state I'm hoping it will get to her on time.

I kept this card pretty simple.
I had originally planned on embossing the purple mat with the CB Polka dots folder but I accidentally glued it down before I remembered to do emboss it. :(
The flowers were cut from the "Holiday Cakes" cartridge at 3.25 in.

Here is the inside of the card.
The sentiment says:
Have a Beautiful Birthday.
I hope you enjoy and have a great day. :)

10 Minute Birthday Card Using Your Scraps

Today I decided I wanted to make a card using only my scraps. I have 3 drawers of scraps and one of them is full of what I call Micro-scraps. You know those little 1 inch pieces that you can't really do anything with. Well I seem to have a really hard time throwing any of them away (I always think I'll turn them into confetti but I never do). So today I decided I had to use them or lose them and this is what I came up with. Using my 1 inch hole punch and some Peachy Keen stamps I made 2 Birthday cards in under 20 min.

This one is for a girl. I also used my silver gel pen to go around the card so it took a little longer then the boy one.

This on is the boy one. I used the same stamps on both cards.

I did 4 rows of 3 faces flat to the white mat then added (6) faces on top of Pop Dots.

Heres a side view so you can kind of see how they are popped up.
I had tons of fun making these and they were super fast.
Enjoy and have a great day!

Birthday Card- Action Wobble

It was my Father in-laws Birthday a few days ago so my kids and I made him a card. For this card I used the Smiley Cards cartridge on my Gypsy. We kept the card very simple since he's not really into cards. :)

I made a quick video to show the movement from the "action wobble".

Pay It Forward Fridays Challenge #3 ~ Cupcake Card

I made this card for the challenge going on over at Love 4 Stamps. For this challenge you needed to make a card for a child and and it had to have any shade of pink and green. I chose to use the cupcake from Once Upon A Princess Cartridge, I added fruit punch stickles to the cherry, used my cream colored pearl pen from Viva Decor, and the sentiment is from SMS.
I kept this really simple since it's for my little Niece. I hope you enjoy and have a great day. :)

Joker Birthday Card ~ Batman:The Brave and the Bold

I made this card for my Nephew's Birthday. The Joker was cut at 4.25 in and so was the brick background. Instead of cutting out the top layer of the bricks I just ran a sharpie really quick over the red layer. I then inked all around the bricks with some brown, gray, and black. I used a Martha Stewart glitter marker along the top of the green piece and also green Stickles on the eyes.

This is the inside of the card. I printed the sentiment from my computer.
This was really a simple card. I think is only took me around 15 min. to make. My boys absolutely loved it! I hope you also enjoy and have a great day. :)

PKS Challenge #34 ~ Poodle Birthday Card

This 5x5 card is my take on the Peachy Keen Sketch challenge. I had so much fun making this card! The poodle is cut from the Create a Critter cartridge at 3 1/2in., the borders were done with my Treading Water punch.

For the face I used my Peachy Keen Critter Face Set Medium(PK-754), I added fruit punch Stickles in her fur, and bling in the bows.
I think she is so darn cute!!

The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps. Thess are such cute stamps! Hope you enjoyed the card and have a great day!

Cricut Cardz Challenge #36 ~ Birthday Card

I made this card for the Cricut Cardz Challenge. For this challenge all you had to do was make a teenager Birthday card and this is what I came up with. For this card I used my brand new Hannah Montana cartridge I got last week but hadn't gotten a chance to use. :) The butterfly was cut at 3 1/4 in although I wish now I would have cut it smaller. I glimmer misted the pink layer, added ribbon from Michael's, and embossed the mat with Swiss Dots.

The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper Stamps, and the "bling" is from Scrapbuck.com
This is the second one I made. I made this card with a monochromatic theme. I've never made a card like this before and it was a lot harder then I thought it would be. For this card I glimmer misted again, added Stickles, embossed the mat with Floral Fantasy, and added a sheer ribbon from my stash. Hope you enjoy and have a great day.

Have a Blast ~ Birthday Card

This is a Birthday card I made for my brother in-law. I didn't want to make it look girly so I kept it really simple. The rocket is from " Just Because Cards" cartridge and I'm thinking I cut it at 8in. I added some "man ribbon" aka hemp, faux stitching, and the sentiment is from my computer. This card only took me start to finish 10 min. Hope you enjoyed my super simple card. Have a great day! :)

It's Your Day ~ Birthday Card

This card was made for my oldest brother for his Birthday. This card is a regular A2 sized card. I used the Celebrations Cartridge and cut the "It's Your Day" at 4in. To embellish I added hemp, buttons and some faux stitching.

This is the inside of the card. The sentiment came from the dollar bin at Michael's and again I added more faux stitching. I hope you enjoy and have a great day!

Throwback Thursday Challenge - Celebrations Card

This is a card I made for the challenge going on over at My Creative Time. You had to use the Celebrations Cartridge and make it a Birthday theme. This is what I came up with.

I did a lot more stitching on this card then I usually do. :)

This is my favorite party hat!

In hind sight I wish I would have put the bling in the slants rather than the bottom.

This is the inside of the card. You can't really see it but the pink paper is a shimmer paper.
I hope you enjoyed this card and have a great Saturday!

Dino Stamp Tri-Fold Card

This is a Tri-fold card I made for my brother for his birthday. The stamp is one my husband got in a kit when he was 5-years-old so we have no idea where it came from ;). I colored the image with Crayola colored pencils then used a Q-tip blotted in baby oil to blend and soften the color. I learned this technique a few weeks ago on a blog hop but can't remember which one. The sentiment is from 2 different stamp sets. The "Have a Dino-Mite Day" is from Scrappy Moms stamps and the "Brother" is from My Pink Stamper stamps. Hope you enjoy and have a great day!
