Watermelon card ~ Meljen Digital Stamp

Today's card is my first card using my new Prisma colored pencils!!
My wonderful friend Stephanie from "Always Crafting" sent me the most fabulous gift... a pack of 60 Prisma colored pencils!!! I have been wanting some for a very long time but have just not had the money to get any and Stephanie, the wonderful person that she is, thought of me when she saw them at Michael's. (I almost started crying when I opened the package I was so happy.)
This digital stamp is the first image I colored when I got them. The image is a freebie from Meljen designs.
I know I have a long way to go learning about shading and blending but it sure is a fun journey to be taking. :)

I hope you enjoyed my card and have a great day. :)

Thank You Cards ~ Imagine Elise Cartridge

I made these cards using my "Elise" Imagine cartridge.
When I first saw this cartridge I was not impressed. The photos online made the colors look so bland and boring and I just was not interested in it. However, my husband saw it on eBay for $6.00 and bought it for me thinking even if I didn't like it my sister or mom might like to make something with it.
I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised by this cartridge. The prints are so much better in person than they are in the booklet. This is definitely going to be a go-to cartridge for me.

The wonderful crinkle ribbon is from "Prairie Bird Boutique"

The "Thank You" was cut from the "Storybook" cartridge and the twine I won from Diana over at DL Art
(but i'm not sure where she got it from.)

I love how simple and fast these cards were to make!
I hope you enjoyed and have a great day. :)

Watermelon Card

Welcome to another Whimsical Wednesday!!
For today's challenge our wonderful design team member Amber came up with our "3 Times a Charm" challenge. which means you need to create a project with: 3 cuts, 3 colors ONLY, and 3 of the same embellishments, ie: 3 flowers, 3 brads, 3 buttons, ect.
So here is what I came up with.

I really wanted the sentiment to say: You're So Sweet but I can't seem to find my one stamp that says that so instead I used my Scrappy Moms stamp for the sentiment.
CARTRIDGES- Simply Charmed(whole watermelon), Preserves(Other watermelons)
CARD STOCK/PAPER- Pink card stock is from Stampin' Up, Polka dot paper is from Doodle Bug.
OTHERS- Embossing Cuttle Bugs Polka Dot folder, Gems from I-rock, Ink Stampin Up.
Today's challenge prize is being donated by our wonderful design team member Jessica and she is donating the Cricut Cartridge Nursery Rhymes.
To see the rest of the design teams amazing projects please head on over to the Whimsical Wednesday Blog.

Cricut-less Scrapbook Layout ~ "My Brother My Buddy"

Today's LO is completely Cricut-less. I didn't start out planning for it to be this way, but as I stared looking through drawers in my craftroom I realized that I still had tons of stuff from my Pre-Cricut days that I had been neglecting.
So for this layout I decided to work around a package of brads I had bought 5 years ago and never opened.
The title was made using the brads and after I decided on that everything else just kind of fell into place.

8.5 x 11 pages side by side

For this LO I used DCWV's "Celebration" stack.
The banners were on one of the papers and I just cut them out and added the brads. Also the polka dot paper from the same stack as did round cutouts.

I hope you enjoyed and have a great day. :)

Scrapbook Layout ~ DCWV Sketch Challenge

Today I made a layout for the challenge going on over at the DCWV Blog. Every month Erin posts a sketch challenge. I have been wanting to participate for a while now but always feel too intimidated about the idea of converting the 12x12 layout sketch to a 8.5x11 layout. Well today I decided to pull on my big girl pants and give it a try. :)

In this layout my little man Lucas is trying to sit up on his own on the couch. He had a ton of fun and it only took him about half an hour. As you can see in the top left photo he finally did it but he was starting to get really tired.

I laid him done in his playpen so I could go make him a bottle and less then 5 minutes later this is what I found. My little man was out cold!!

On this page I did the same LO but flipped it.

Here are both pages sided by side. I love how this layout turned out!

Cricut Cartridges: Zooballoo (For the titles), B is for Boy (for he lion), Sugar and Spice (for the lamb).
Cardstock: All the pattern paper came from DCWV.
The strips are from "Animal Crackers" and the safari paper is from "All About Boys".
The green and yellow polka dot strip is also from DCWV but I can't remember what stack. :(

Swing By the DCWV blog and try the sketch out for yourself.

I hope you enjoyed my layout and have a great day! :)

"Au Natural" 8.5x11 Layout ~ Paper Variety Circle Challenge

Today I've created a 2-page 8.5x11 scrapbook layout that I'll be entering into the challenge going on over at The Paper Variety.

"Au Natural" My baby taking a bath in the kitchen sink.

Page one.
For this layout I cut the film strip from the "Mickey and Friends" cartridge. The pattern paper came from DCWV's "Dots, Stripes, and Plaids" stack. The circles were punched with a 3/8 punch and I added green buttons.

The blue paper was embossed with CuttleBug's "Spots and Dots" folder and the Title was embossed with CB "Swiss Dots" folder. I also added more circle buttons. :)

Here are both of the 8.5 x 11 pages together.
I hope you enjoyed and have a great day. :)

My First Imagine Project

As some of you know, I got the Imagine for Mother's Day. Well the first time I tried to use it it broke. Provo Craft was very good at replacing it for me but ever since I received my new one I have not been motivated to use it. I had been wanting one ever since those came out and had been begging my husband to please get it for me and was so ready to dive in and play with it. But when it didn't work and when I thought it could do things and then realized that it actually couldn't (mainly change the color of things with out it flooding the entire image,) it really put a damper on my desire to make things with it.
My husband was very frustrated about this. he doesn't mind buying things if I use them. He can't stand to see things wasted especially when they cost alot. So much so he cut me off!! He says I can no longer buy ANY craft stuff until I have mastered the Imagine! Crazy!!

So now I will show you my first Imagine Project.

I printed and cut all the layers as they have them in the book and mounted them on foam tape. I had also tried to make the same image but with different colors but it did not come out with as much detail since the Imagine floods the whole image not just the part you want to change. (This is something that really disappoints me about the Imagine and something I hope they will change.) I embossed the red paper with a folder that comes in the Once Upon A Princess Cuttle Bug Companion set. The ribbon is crinkle ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique and the sentiment stamp is from Hero arts.
Thanks for checking out my card and I hope you enjoyed. Have a great day!!

Boys Scrapbook Pages

Welcome to another Whimsical Wednesday Layout Challenge.
Today's challenge is "Sense Of Humor"
For this challenge you need to make a layout with something funny. Photos, images, or words that relate to humor such as : Silly, Giggle, Laugh, Funny, ect.

My layout today is a 8.5x11 Landscape page.

For this layout I kept it pretty simple using scraps of paper for accents and stickers for the title. I did use the Cricut cartridge "Boys Will be Boys" to cut the journaling tag.
I hope you enjoyed my layout and I can't wait to see what you create for this challenge.
