Bunny Card for Ashley's 1st challenge

I made this card for the challenge going on over at Ashley's Scrappin Palace.
For this challenge you needed to use a bunny and or a flower.
This is Ashley's first challenge so hop over and check it out. :)

The bunny and the scalloped egg were cut from the " Easter 2010" seasonal cartridge.
The bunny was cut at 3.5in and the egg was cut at 4in.
I used Viva Decor Pearl Pen in cream for the dots on the egg and a white gel pen for the stitching, Everything was also inked with brown.

Here is the inside of the card.
The sentiment was printed from my computer and says:
Have a sweet Easter.

I hope you enjoy and have a great day!

The Stuff We Made at Scrapbook Expo USA

Hello all my crafty friends. As most of you know I spent the last two days at the Scrapbook Expo they had here in Utah. They have it twice a year (the next one is in September.) I have always wanted to go but never gotten the chance, something always seemed to come up. So this year was my first time going. :) And I was lucky enough to have my wonderful friend Katie come with me. Yay! We had so much fun! We have already started planning for the Fall Expo.

So here are some pictures of the fun things we were able to make while we were there.

My Friend Katie was able to score us a couple of free tickets to one of the Cricut classes (awesome job Katie!) and this is what we made. The lunch box is to hold all of your cards for when you go to swaps. It is so much prettier and vibrant in person.
Here are some of the Make and Takes. The cook book was made using the Imagine and the key chains were made using the Stand and Salute cartridge and embossed with the new Cuttle Bug machine. (I prefer the old machine.) The people at the Cuttle Bug booth were kind enough to let me make 4 key chains when I told them I wanted to make them for my kids.

These are more of the make and takes. The photo book was made with the Your Story Mini, Embossed with the Cuttle Bug, and I think the images were cut from the Storybook Cartridge. but I'm not positive. I also just noticed that I glued my "S" upside down on my book. :) The shirt was done using the Yudu machine. I had so much fun making it it! I never really gave this machine much thought but now that I've used it I really, really want it and it is next on my "Must Have" list!
I also made a cupcake with the Cricut Cake machine but my daughter ate it before I could take a picture. she said it tasted Yummy. :)
I hope you enjoy and have a great day!

Scrapbook Expo USA in Sandy Utah

Greetings Crafty People! Star is enjoying the Scrapbook Expo for the next two days in Sandy, Utah. This is her husband who is at home taking care of the kids. She looks like she is having a ton of fun and can be seen walking towards the camera briefly with about 33 seconds left in the video with her crafty friend, Katie.

If you see her at the expo make sure you say hi! She's been there today and will be back tomorrow for more fun. Her goody bag looks very full and heavy. Last I heard she was having a wonderful time!

Beautiful Birthday Card ~ Paper Playtime Challenge

I made this card for the Purple and Green challenge going on over at
I also made this for my Husbands Grandma Bess, her Birthday is tomorrow. I guess I'm cutting it pretty close but since she lives in the same state I'm hoping it will get to her on time.

I kept this card pretty simple.
I had originally planned on embossing the purple mat with the CB Polka dots folder but I accidentally glued it down before I remembered to do emboss it. :(
The flowers were cut from the "Holiday Cakes" cartridge at 3.25 in.

Here is the inside of the card.
The sentiment says:
Have a Beautiful Birthday.
I hope you enjoy and have a great day. :)

Just Because Card

Hey everyone!
Sorry it's been awhile since I've posted. My family and I have been going through another round of sickness and I have just been exhausted! So tonight was the first night I have felt good again and had the energy to craft. I think it also helped that my friend Katie came over and showed me the the cards she collected from her card swap this week. The theme for her swap was "Just Because" and that's what kept going through my mind as I was trying to think of something to make so I decided to go with it.

This is what I came up with.

The cartridge I used was "Don Juan" Pg 74
and "Viva Decor" Pearl Pen in Salmon for the center of the flower and the dots around the edge.
I accidentally touched the center before it was dry and kind of messed it up. :(
It's very simple but I kind of like it.
I hope you enjoy and have a great night. :)

~*~ Jen's Happy Birthday Blog Hop ~*~

Welcome to Jen's Happy Birthday Blog Hop!

If you came here from Sarah - www.pinkcricut.com then you are in the right place but if you just happened across my blog then you will want to start at the beginning at
Now on to the hop.

First, I want to thank Jen for asking me to be apart of her Birthday celebration.
This hop has been so much fun to prepare for. For this hop we were asked to do anything birthday themed. My oldest is turning 10 on the 23rd and has requested a Batman themed birthday this year so I though I'd try my hand at my very first banner.

For the banner I used my Batman: The Brave and the Bold cartridge.

(Here is a close up)

My son wanted both pieces to be embossed and he chose the "Diamond Plate" CB folder for the bat shapes and CB "Tiny Mosaic" folder for the letters. We also used silver ink to go over the diamond plate texture.

I also made him a card to go with his gift. (He really loves cards and actually saves them on his book shelf.)

Now for the candy: I'll be mailing out a $10.00 gift card from Michael's. You do not have to be a follower to win but if you like my blog then it would be awesome if you were to follow me.
Just leave a comment with a way for me to get in contact with you.

Now you are on to the wonderful and talented:

Here is the line up in case you get lost:

now on to the card.

Here is another "Simply Charmed" leprechaun card.

For his face I used Peachy Keens Retro Paper Doll Face Assortment stamps.
I love how excited he now looks!
(you can't really see it in the picture but he has green metallic eyes.)

Here is the inside of the card.
I inked around all the edges with brown ink.

Recipe:
Cartridge: Simply Charmed
Sentiment: Random stamp
Border Punch: Fiskars Threading water
Others: Bakers twine, white gel pen, stickles in Golden rod & lime green

I hope you enjoy and have a great day!
