Fall Card

Welcome to another Whimsical Wednesday.
For today's challenge we are celebrating Fall. To play along you need to make a card or project with fall colors and a hand made embellishment.

For my card I kept it very basic and simple. The hand made embellishment is a tulle flower that my mom taught me how to make. I used tulle in orange, brown, and added a brad from Studio G. The paper is from my scraps and the beautiful crinkle ribbon is from "Prairie Bird Boutique".
I chose not to added a sentiment to this card as I'm not sure what I'll be using it for. :)

Our Sponsor today is the wonderful Creative Inspiration Paints. One lucky winner will be able to pick out 5 paints!!! :)

I hope you enjoyed my card an I can't wait to see what you create.
Please stop by the Whimsical Wednesday blog to see what the other wonderful DT members have created.

~Creepy Crawly~

Happy Sunday everyone.
Today's card is one I made a couple of weeks ago and thought I'd posted but yesterday while looking through my blog to show a post to my sister I realized I hadn't actually posted it so here it is today. :)

I kept this card pretty simple and easy.
I cut the spider from the "Doodlecharms" cartridge and coated it in glossy accents. The spider web punch is from Martha Stewart and the sentiment is from Scrappy Moms stamps "A Haunting We Will Go" and embossed with silver. Last but not least, the twine is from the Twinery.

I hope you enjoyed my card and have a great day. :)

Sweet Hello ~ Scrappy Moms Challenge

Today's card was made for the Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge.
For this challenge you needed to use the Country Life cartridge or something similar as they want everyone to be able to play along.

I was so excited when I saw this challenge. My husband has just bought me the Country Life cartridge and also the Imagine cartridge Kate's Kitchen. And this challenge was perfect for trying them out.

For my card I used my Imagine to print and cut the images. The pie shape is from "Country Life" but the recipe card and the papers on the pie are from "Kate's Kitchen". The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms "Sweet Somethings" stamp set. After some doodling with my gel pen I was done.
I hope you enjoyed my card and have a great day. :)

Just a reminder Whimsical Wednesday has a new challenge up

Frankie ~ Halloween Card

Today's card has the most adorable Frankenstein digital stamp I have ever seen!!
I had so much fun making this card. The Frankie kept making me smile every time I looked at him. :)

For this card the Digi came from "The Stamping Boutique" and I colored him with my Prisma Pencils. The papers came from my stash (I can't remember what company makes them.) The beautiful crinkle ribbon came from "Prairie Bird Boutique".

I hope you enjoyed and have a great day. :)

Also just a reminder, on October 7 at 7pm EST we are having our Whimsical Halloween Blog Hop. We are all so excited about the hop. There will be a variety of projects and lots of blog candy so be sure to mark your calendars.

Hey, Imagine Better Together

Today's card was made with my Cricut Imagine and the "Better Together" Imagine cartridge. I just got this cartridge and I am LOVING it! I was trying to decide if this was a cartridge I would want and was looking at the handbook online when I saw this image. This image is what sold me on needing this cartridge. I am always in need of cute "Just Wanted to Say Hello" images to make cards for girlfriends I haven't seen or talked to in awhile.
And this cartridge has some really super cute ones!

For this card I kept it pretty simple. The papers are from my scraps. (the cartridge has great papers that coordinate with the images but my scraps are getting out of control so I decided to use them instead.)The image layers are pop dotted up and the blue paper is embossed with CB "Polka Dots" folder. I added red Stickles to the lips and put gold metallic highlights in their hair. Last I doodled white stitching .
I hope you enjoyed my card and have a great day. :)

Also don't for get we have a new challenge up over at Whimsical Wednesday and we'd love for you to play along.

Back To School Scrapbook Pages

Welcome to another Whimsical Wednesday Scrapbook Challenge.

Today's challenge is all about school days. The guide lines for today's challenge is to make a scrapbook layout with a school theme and it must include a chipboard element.

For this challenge the theme was great. I have 4 of my 5 kids in school so we have tons of pictures that need to be scrapped. However, the chipboard element was a little harder for me. Chipboard is not something I've ever used before so I had absolutely none on hand but lucky for me my sister had just gone out and bought a ton of chipboard letters and gave me a pack to play with.

Here is my 2 page 8.5 x 11 Layout

Here is the first page.
For this page the paper came from the dollar section at Target. I used cut files from "The Cutting Cafe" for the apples, the sentiment inside the apple, and for the crayons at the bottom. Since I don't own a cutting system except for the Cricut I just printed the images with my printer and cut them out by hand. :) It's very easy to do.
The "Mrs Thayne" is my chipboard element. These were naked chipboard that I colored with Bic markers and covered in matching Stickles.

Here is the second page.
On this page the Notes and Paper were cut from the "Simply Charmed" cartridge and the pencil was cut from the "Cutting Cafe".

Here are both pages together.
I hope you enjoyed and I can't wait to see what you create.

Our wonderful sponsor today is Regina from the "Cutting Cafe" and she has generously donated to one lucky winner any 3 sets from her store. So please swing on by the Whimsical Wednesday Blog and see what the other wonderful DT members have come up with and of course we would love for you to play along. :)

Video Game Birthday Card

My little brother had his birthday on Wednesday and I was having the hardest time coming up with a manly-ish birthday card for him so I started looking through some of the digital stamps I had and came across this one. I for the life of me can't remembers where it came from (I tried looking online for it again so I could give credit were credit is due but was unable to find it.). So if anyone knows where this digi came from, please let my know.

The papers came from DCWV's Dots, Stripes, and Plaids stack. The image was colored with my Prisma pencils.

Here is the inside of the card.
I hope you enjoyed and have a great holiday weekend. :)
