Dinner Menu Board

Do you ever get tired of your kids asking you wants for dinner?

I do! It drives me absolutely crazy!

So I decided to make this menu board. I had actually been thinking about doing this for some time now but had just never gotten around to it until now.

This was really very easy to make.

I just used an 8x10 picture frame, black vinyl, and paper from my stash. You use a dry erase marker to write down the dinners. The background paper can be changed out for different seasons or holidays.

How I Now Store My Cricut Seasonal & Solutions Cartridges

Really Quick I just wanted to share how I now store some of my cartridges. I have been wanting to find away to store my cartridges that don't come with boxes for a while now and I was hoping to do it with the cricut lite boxes but I can't find where they might sell them. I decided to start searching the web for people that wanted to sell their old boxes they don't use any more. I did find some but they all wanted around 3.00 a box + shipping and I just thought that was ridiculous especially since I was still going to have to cover them with something so I wouldn't get confused about what cartridge was in the box.

So after searching online I found this great website. BAGS UNLIMITED.

I got 25 cases for $19.40 (that's with shipping.) that makes them .77 each.

This is how I used to store them. Stored in a plastic tub that I had to dig through.

I was always over looking these carts because they weren't with my other cartridges.

Them stored now with the rest of my cartridges.

I just used my computer to print of the titles and I used my long 1in. scraps to add color to the bindings. I plan to later on add a cut from the cart on to the binding to be more like the Cricut cases. :)

This is the completed scrapbook page my Daughter made.

For her LO she used the "Rock Princess" cartridge for the "Too Hot 2 Handle" and for the title "Cousins" she used "A Child's Year". The extras used were a white gel pen. Gold Stickles and a MS quilt punch.

This is the completed card my 9-year-old son made for his best friend's Birthday.

For his card he used the "Micky And Friends" cartridge for the T.v. and the "Happy Birthday" was cut from "Create A Critter". He used black buttons for the knobs on the t.v. and CB Happy Birthday embossing folder.

Here is the completed bookmark my 7-year-old son made.

For his bookmark he used the "B is For Boy" cartridge, CB Swiss dot embossing folder, and MS glitter marker.

You Shine! Card ~ Throwback Thursday & CCCC challenges

(I had a hard time getting a good picture but if you click on the picture it will make it bigger)

I made this card for my 9-year-old daughter. She has been struggling a lot in school this year. but this last PTC showed a great improvement in grades and participation in class so I decided to make her a card to let her know how proud I am of her hard work.

The card 5.25 diamond shape. I cut the background from the "Wild Card" cartridge and the rocker girl from the "Rock Princess" cartridge. Her face was stamped with PK's "Laughy Taffy" face asortment. The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms stamps "Sweet Somethings"

My Custom Stamp Is Here!!

I am so excited!!

My stamp I had custom made from "Stamp out online" arrived on Saturday!

Here it is!

I've been stamping it on everything in every color of ink I have. :)

This is the first stamp I've ever had done and I just love it. The ladies were so great to work with and they were so patient with me when I really wasn't sure what I wanted. If you're looking to get a personalized stamp, I highly recommend going through them!

Sorry I'm late ~ Belated Birthday card

I made this card for a friend that had her Birthday last week. For this card I used the "Paisley" cartridge to cut the turtle at 4in. I embossed with the CB 5x7 Polka Dot folder. I also added Stickles in Red and Fruit Punch and did some doodling with a white gel pen.

Valentine Container ~ LFIF Challenge

Peachy Keens Lets Face It Friday challenge is to make an altered item to hold Valentine cards. (Click on the link to read all the info.)

When they announced this challenge I thought it would be perfect to make a "Love Note" container for my kids. Each day my kids can write little notes to their siblings telling something they love about each other and every night after dinner we can sit down and read them and then the kids can keep the ones that are for them.

A lot of the DT used mail boxes from the dollar spot at Target but I am currently tapped out on money so I decided to use what I already had... formula cans. I had no idea what to do with them until this challenge came along.

Here is the top. I used "Making The Grade" cartridge for the words and "Mini Monograms" for the circles.

Here is the front of the can. I used "Love Struck" cartridge for the hearts and PK "Snow Cutie" stamps for the faces.

Here is the side. The punch is Martha Stewart.

These are the cards I made to fit in the can. My kids will be making round postcards that they can decorate on one side and write on the other.
