Sweethearts Anniversary Card

This is a card I made for my husband for our anniversary. I meant to post it a few days ago but things have been crazy around here getting ready for school to start then my 3-year-old daughter Sunshine cracked her head open and had to have staples put in so this is the first chance I've had to breathe. :)

This card is a reg A2 sized card, I used the Sweethearts cartridge for the image and my Divine Swirls for the embossing and the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper stamps. It came out way more feminine than I wanted but he still loved it.

Anniversary cards for men are so hard for me to do!!!

Snowmen From the Snow Friends Cartridge

Yesterday I was so excited to play with my new cartridge but I couldn't decided which snowman I wanted to make a card with first, so I decided to just make all 10 of the snowmen instead and figure out what to do with them later. :)

All of them came out so stinkin' cute! I had so much fun. All 10 snowmen were cut at 3 1/4 in and so were all of their accessories, except for their faces, those were so small that I chose to use Stickles and just do it feel hand. The pink snowman had a swirl shirt that just wouldn't cut out right so I decided to emboss it with swirls instead.

These are the last of them. This is such a great cartridge. Most of the snowmen have very few layers and they are pretty easy to work with, the faces were the hardest part for me which is why I chose not to cut them out. I hope you all enjoyed. It Arrived!

Yay! My Snow Friends Cartridge just arrived today in the mail from Mary at CardzTv. I'm so excited to play with this cartridge. Today I'm going to spend some time playing with it and then tomorrow I'll post what I've made. Hope you all have a great day!

Throwback Thursday Challenge - Celebrations Card

This is a card I made for the challenge going on over at My Creative Time. You had to use the Celebrations Cartridge and make it a Birthday theme. This is what I came up with.

I did a lot more stitching on this card then I usually do. :)

This is my favorite party hat!

In hind sight I wish I would have put the bling in the slants rather than the bottom.

This is the inside of the card. You can't really see it but the pink paper is a shimmer paper.

Triangle Tri-Fold Thank you Card

I made this super fun "Thank You" card the other day. I'm not really sure what it's called but I call it a Triangle Tri-Fold card.

The patterned paper I used is from my scrap box, the Thank You sentiment is from My Pink Stamper Stamps, and the inside embellishments are just some left over rub-ons.

To hold the card together I just used some 5/8 green ribbon to make a band, glued on a button and a flower and voila I'm done. :) Hope you enjoyed and have a great Friday everyone!

Made by Momo's Tuesday Challenge- "Girly Affair"

Over at Momo's blog she is having a super cute challenge called "Girly Affair". You can use any cartridge and any cut as long as it's a girly card. This is what I came up with to enter. This nighty is from the Sweethearts Cartridge. I used my Gypsy to weld the image into a shape card. The bottom was cut out twice once in white and again in sheer sparkly vellum. The top was embossed using the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and then I added Stickles over the dots. I tied a ribbon to the front and I was done. This card was really easy and fast and the perfect bridal shower card. I love how this turned out and hope you enjoy is as well. Have a great day!

Dino Stamp Tri-Fold Card

This is a Tri-fold card I made for my brother for his birthday. The stamp is one my husband got in a kit when he was 5-years-old so we have no idea where it came from ;). I colored the image with Crayola colored pencils then used a Q-tip blotted in baby oil to blend and soften the color. I learned this technique a few weeks ago on a blog hop but can't remember which one. The sentiment is from 2 different stamp sets. The "Have a Dino-Mite Day" is from Scrappy Moms stamps and the "Brother" is from My Pink Stamper stamps. Hope you enjoy and have a great day!

Christmas in July Challenge # 3

I made this card for the Christmas in July challenge going on over at Cardz Tv. I decided to make this card a little different in the color scheme. I went with more muted and soft colors rather then the traditional red and green. For this challenge you could use any colors or cut from any cartridge but you had to use at least ribbon, lace, or buttons. This card is a tri-fold card that I learned how to make from Mary at Cardz tv. The hot cocoa is cut from the Christmas Cheer cartridge at 3 1/4 in. The marshmallows are cut free hand and stamped with my Peachy Keen Everyday Face assortment, and everything was inked with my brown ink.

Throwback Thursday Challenge - Wild Card

This is a card I made for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge. When I read that the challenge was to use the Wild Card cartridge I started to panic. Last week I had given my Mom my Wild Card Cartridge so she could build up her card stash without alot of work and also so she can decide if it's a cartridge she really wants. Anyway I panicked for about 30 seconds and that's when I remembered that duh, I have a Gypsy... phew.

For this Challenge I picked Halloween. It's the only Holiday that you can be anyone your anything you want and no one thinks anything of it. It's the one day a year you're not judged for being different.

Skunk Card- "It Stinks"

This is a card I made for my new sister-in-law Toni. She has been going through a really hard time lately so I decided to send her this card to go along with some Victoria's secret body wash, lotion, and body mist. She loved it! :) I wanted to wait to post this until I had given it to her.

This card is a regular A2 sized card. The mat was embossed with my Divine Swirls folder in my Cuttlebug. I think I cut the skunk at around 3in (but I can't really remember) and it is cut from Create a Critter. I added 2 rows of paper cut with my treading water punch, and some Stickles, ribbon, gems, and glitter to finish the front of the card.

The actual card was made using some shimmer purple card stock. this is the in side of the card. The sentiment I just printed off my computer and added some stitching with a Martha Stewart glitter pen. I love how this card came out. Hope you also enjoy it. Have a great day!

Christmas in July challenge #2 Snowman card

This is a card I made for the challenge going on over at Cardz Tv. I had a really hard time with this challenge which really surprised me since I just love doing winter and Christmas cards but for some reason this time around I couldn't get in the zone at all. :(

This card was made using my Christmas Cheer cartridge. I used my Gypsy to weld two snowmen together to make a shaped card. I used my Cuttlebug Divine Swirls folder on the scarf and went around it with my Martha Stewart glitter marker, and added Stickles for the eyes, mouth, and buttons. (I had an air bubble when I did the mouth :(. ) It's not my favorite card but I still hope you enjoy it. Have a great day! :)

Throwback Thursday Challenge - Zooballoo Card

This is the the other card I made yesterday. I made this for Emma's throwback Thursday Challenge at My Creative Time.

My husband is a Police Officer and every once in a while he has to go on an extradition and brings criminals from another state back to Utah. These can take a few days so as a reminder to be safe and to know that I'm thinking of him I like to leave cute, fun cards in his luggage for everyday that he's gone. When I saw this cute octopus in my Zooballoo cartridge I just knew I had to add it to my stash. :)

This card is an A2 sized card. All the papers are from my scrap pile. (I have 3 drawers full!) I've been trying to use them up so unless a challenge has specific colors I'll be using only scraps for the next few weeks. The Octopus was cut at 2 1/4 in. and stamped with my Peachy Keen Everyday face assortment stamps. The circle was cut after I traced a ribbon spool that was sitting next to me while trying to figure out what to do with the octopus ;). The paper was inked with brown, I added some white dots with a white gel pen, and traced him with a yellow Martha Stewart glitter maker, then mounted it on foam tape.

Truck Birthday Card

I was fortunate enough to be able to make two cards at nap time today and think up ideas for a third one. :). This is the first one I made. It is for one of my brother's for his Birthday. This card is a A2 sized card. The truck is cut at 2 3/4 in. from Everyday Paper dolls. I cut the image 3 times as it has no layer keys and just pieced it together. I used my cuttlebug to emboss the truck with the Diamond Plate folder.
The sentiment was printed off my computer on white paper then inked around with brown and copper Martha Stewart Ink. (I Inked all the papers with this ink.) I tore some scrap paper to look like dirt, added some buttons and mounted the truck and sentiment on some foam tape. A super easy male Birthday card. hope you enjoyed it. Have a great day!

Another 4th of July Card

Here is another A2 sized 4th of July card using the same firecracker stamp from Peachy Keen. This time I stamped the image over and over again making the paper a background. I again colored in all the images with my Sharpie markers. I then used my Martha Stewart yellow glitter pen on the fuse. I made this card very simple, just adding a 7/8 ribbon from Walmart and cutting out the star and shadow from the "Office Help" cartridge at 3". The sentiment was printed out from my computer and cut out using a 1 in punch. The faux stitching was done with black and white gel pens.

4th of July- Firecracker Card

With Independence Day I decided to make a card celebrating this wonderful holiday. A while back I purchased a firecracker stamp from Peachy Keen. I loved it but it was too small to be used as a card centerpiece.

Since I really wanted to use it as a centerpiece I employed my wonderful husband's assistance. I stamped the image onto a piece of paper. He then scanned it and enlarged it to make it approximately 5 inches top to bottom. I then printed the image onto cardstock and added color using Sharpie markers. I used Fiskar's threading water punch on a scrap of blue cardstock. I added a 7/8 inch red and white polka dot ribbon I purchased at Wal-Mart.

I picked the sentiment myself and printed it off my computer. I then added faux stitching using a black gel pen around the sentiment.

To make the background for this card I stamped plain white cardstock with Stampin' Up's Yo-Yo Yellow ink pad and a star stamp I purchased on clearance at Michael's for $0.50. I then added yellow Stickles to the bursting fuse. I used foam tape under the sentiment and blue firecracker. The fuse is raised on 1.5 inch foam blocks.

Throwback Thursday Challenge - Baby Card

This card was made for Emma's Challenge at My Creative Time. The cartridge requested by Emma was "New Arrival." I do not have this cartridge so I used my oldest cartridge with a baby theme, Doodlecharms, for the images. For the words I used the cartridge, All Mixed Up. Finally, for the face I used my Peachy Keen Princess Face Assortment stamps.

I learned how to make this card from Mary at Cardztv. She has a video which explains in great detail how to make a trifold card like this. For the baby bottle I cut it out at 1.5 inches. The teddy bear was cut at 2.5 inches. The baby face was cut at 2.5 inches as well. I then added faux stitching, buttons, and Stickles to add pizazz to the card.
