Digital Snowman Card

I made this to enter in to My Pink Stamper's Christmas themed challenge. You just had to make a card or scrapbook page for Christmas or winter. The snowman is a free digital stamp I can't remember where I got it from but I think it might be from freedigitalstamps.blogspot.com
I colored him with Bic markers and added Stickles to the snow on his hat and also on the ground. I hope you enjoy and have a great day. :)

This is the Christmas card I made to send out this year.
As I was writing in one of my last cards I realized that I had not taken pictures or blogged about them.
I hate when I forget to do that!

Cartridges: Just Because Cards for the gingerbread man,
Plantin Schoolbook for the ric rac

For this card I used the Simply Charmed cartridge and cut the images at 2 1/4in. The sentiment is from Pink By Design. I don't know if you can tell but the dark pink mat is shimmer paper and there a silver snowflakes on the pink ribbon.
I hope you enjoy and have a great day. :)

Mommy and Me Time: Playing with the Cricut

Right now in school my 6-year-old son Isaac is learning about the American flag and what the stars and stripes stand for. Since this is what they are studying his teacher wanted each student to create a 8.5x11 flag of themselves and then they will bring them to class and talk about what each thing on there flag stands for.

My son chose to put a boy riding his bike, Hot dogs, Ice cream, Popsicle, and Jr.

Here are some pictures of him inking around the edge with his green stamp pad.

And here it is completed.
JR. is his nickname, the 3 hot dogs are for his 3 brothers, the ice cream is for his 1 sister, the 2 popsicles are for his foster brother and his foster sister, and that is him riding his bike. He says he chose the hot dogs, ice cream, and popsicles because they are his favorite foods. :)
We had so much fun working on this together and hope you also enjoy.
Have a great day. :)

Cartridges used:
Car Decals,
Simply Charmed,
Robotz (for the JR.)

25th Anniversary Card

Today is my parents 25th wedding anniversary.
This is the card that I made for them.

This is a Regular card that fits in to a A2 sized envelope. The scalloped squares were cut from the StoryBook cartridge and so was the 25. I really wanted to keep it simple but elegant.

Here is the inside of the card.
I hope you enjoy and have a great day. :)

Birthday Card- Action Wobble

It was my Father in-laws Birthday a few days ago so my kids and I made him a card. For this card I used the Smiley Cards cartridge on my Gypsy. We kept the card very simple since he's not really into cards. :)

I made a quick video to show the movement from the "action wobble".

Family Tree ~ Crafting with my sister

Wow! It's been along time since I've posted any craftiness! My crafting mojo has been on vacation for the last few weeks.
A week ago my sister came to visit for a few days and while she was visiting she asked me if I could help her with a project that she wanted to make for her in-laws and also for our parents for Christmas. She hates crafting but she is really in to family history so for Christmas she wanted to make "Family Tree" posters.

The top picture is my sister working on her in-laws poster. This one was pretty easy for us to do once we finally figured out what it is we really wanted to do.
For the posters we chose to put the Grandparents in the big center tree and all of their kids are the smaller trees and the Grandkids are the apples
Our family was a little more difficult since we have 16 kids and 40+ Grandkids so fitting it all on the board was a little tricky.
My sister had to go home before we were able to complete the project but I gave her the cartridges we were using so she can finish it with our mom's Cricut and hopefully she will send me pictures of the completed project so I can post them.
I hope you and that you all have a great night!

Digital Delights Nutcracker Challenge

Ok, so this is my first time coloring in a digital stamp. I had tons of fun after I finally figured out how to get it to print the size I wanted. (I am so dumb when is comes to computers.) I have never really been that in to stamps, I mostly just used sentiment stamps and of course my very favorite, Pk face stamps. But after I saw Court from Courts's Crafts post a beautiful card the other day using this stamp I knew I had to give it a try.

I got this stamp from Digital Delights for free. (I think they give one away for free every week. but I'm not positive about that.) I decided to enter it in to their challenge so I could get this super cute fairy they have also for free. :)
Here is a close up of him.
I had so much fun doing this! I felt like a kids again. I used to spend hours coloring in my coloring books when I was a little girl and this is just like coloring books but for grown ups. Although when my kids saw me doing this they all asked my to print ones out so they could color too. :)

Recipe:
Stamp Image: Digital Delights
Markers: Bic, dark gray, lt. gray, red, purple, yellow, black
Paper: from my scraps
Embellishments: Dark purple buttons and ribbon
Other: peach chalk, black, white gel pens, yellow Stickles
If I get the fairy stamp I'll post it later this week.
I hope you enjoy and have a great day :)

Throwback Thursday Challenge - Gingerbread Card

I made this card for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge. For this challenge you had to make a food project and she wanted you to use "From my kitchen" or any other older cartridge.

The gingerbread man was cut from "From My Kitchen" at 4 inches , I made the bite with a hole punch. The ric rac was cut from "plantin Schoolbook" at 1/4 of an inch, The buttons I got from Oriental Trading Company, and the face was done with PK "Everyday Charter Face Assortment". The sentiment I did on my computer.

I had so much fun making this card for my husband.
I hope you enjoy and have a great day. :)

Peachy Keen "Let's Face it Friday" Challenge

Baby's First Christmas Ornament

I made this for the challenge going on over at Peachy Keen's "Lets face it Friday."
For this challenge you have to use a PK face stamp and you needed to make an ornament. So I decided to make one for our new baby and when Christmas is over I will mount it in his scrapbook.

The manger, baby, and Barn all came from PDDU and the Star came from Christmas Cheer. The face stamp is from PK "Everyday Character Face Assortment."
I don't know what sizes I cut anything at as I planned it all out on my gypsy and starting cutting things out when I had to leave to take care of a fight going on between my 5-year-olds when my 3-year-old daughter managed to delete the file and all before I was able to finish cutting everything out. :( so the red stripped piece I cut out free hand and tried to make it fit. (I guess thats what I get for crafting before they have all gone to bed.)
Hope you all enjoy and have a great day!

Fabulous Fall Blog Hop Day #3

I can't believe that today is the last day of our blog hop. I have been having so much fun! Thank you so much Cheryl for setting this up and for letting me be are part of it.

For day 3 I decided to do a wall hanging.
I wrapped a dowel with brown satin ribbon trying to make it bumpy so it would remind you of a tree branch. The leaves were cut at 4in from my "Speaking Of Fall" cartridge, I added cinnamon stickels to the inside of the leaves to give it a little sparkle. i did the stitching with my white gel pen and added different shades of green buttons.

It was really hard to get a good picture since it is hanging in my hallway and the lighting in there is really bad so heres a close up of some of the leaves.
I hope you enjoy!

This card was made using "Speaking Of Fall" cartridge. I cut the image at 4in., Embossed the purple strip with my swiss dots cuttlebug folder, and used my gel pen to add some detail.

Vampire Halloween Card

Here is a quick card I made using a 1.00 stamp from Michael's, Martha Stewart Drippy Goo Punch, red stickles, and ribbon also from Michael's. I love how it came out and hope you also enjoy. :)

I'd also Like to give a shout out to Joanna from Scrap-Making for reminding me how much I love making cards and layouts using things other then my Cricut.
She has been making some really cute cards over at her blog with E.A.D. Stickerz and after seeing them I realized that I have stopped making things with anything other then my Cricut. So I am going to try and make something at least once a week using my stamps, stickers, or rub-ons. in place of a Cricut cut. :) This may prove to be a little hard as I am totally in love with my Cricut and also I have way more Cricut images then I do stamps and things but I'm still going to give it a try.
I hope you all have a great night and I'll see you tomorrow with another great non-Cricut card. :)

Pay It Forward Fridays Challenge #3 ~ Cupcake Card

I made this card for the challenge going on over at Love 4 Stamps. For this challenge you needed to make a card for a child and and it had to have any shade of pink and green. I chose to use the cupcake from Once Upon A Princess Cartridge, I added fruit punch stickles to the cherry, used my cream colored pearl pen from Viva Decor, and the sentiment is from SMS.
I kept this really simple since it's for my little Niece. I hope you enjoy and have a great day. :)

Throwback Thursday Challenge - Monkey Card

This is a 5.5 x 5.5 square card that I made for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge. For info on this challenge please swing by her blog.

I cut the cute little money from Create A Critter cartridge at 4in and stamped the face with Peachy Keens Critter Faces Medium set.

(I placed the flower rub on way too close to the sentiment.)

The sentiment on the inside of the card was printed off my computer and says "Just swingin' by with a thank you and a hi". This card is also a thank you card for I friend of mine that gave us the cutest little monkey outfit for our new baby.
Hope you enjoy and have a great day. :)
