If any of you have  ever been foster parents than you know how hard, sad , and exciting all of this can be. This last month has been filled with tears, excitement, stress, and happiness...and lets not forget the many, many appointments!!

We have all now settled into our daily lives and routines so now I get to have fun in my craft room this week. :) I will be putting up a new card tomorrow!! So excited to be able to catch up on blog stalking and being inspired to create .

Birdhouse Card, Stretch your Imagination

Hello Crafty Friends,
Wow, what a crazy, fun, and busy week!! I hope you all had a great Presidents day and Valentine's day weekend.

Today's card is inspired by spring. I am so tired of winter and in Northern Utah the inversion is horrible and is making me crazy! My youngest has really bad breathing problems and the inversion is especially bad for him so we have to keep him inside on bad air days which makes him stir crazy and in turn makes me crazy. :)

My card is a shape card I made with the Cricut, Stretch Your imagination cartridge. I just welded 2 Shadow pieces together and layered the cut pieces on the front. Easy, peasy.

Card Recipe:

Cricut Cartridge: Stretch your Imagination pgs 64 (birdhouse) 63 (Bird)

Papers: Recollections (Kraft), Flower print (scraps)

Embossing: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots

Stamps: The face is from Peachy Keens, Everyday Face Parts (Retired), Sentiment, is from dollar bin at Michaels 6 years ago. I colored it in with Bic markers

Treasure Chest ~ Cricut Imagine Buccaneer, Cricut Sweethearts

Hello Crafty Friends,

I can't believe Valentine's day is right around the corner! I love Valentine's day because of my kids. My husband and I are not very big on this holiday we do don't do the big dinner, jewelry, chocolates or flowers. We feel that is what our anniversary is for. However, we do really enjoy showing our kids extra love during this month.

You may have noticed that most of my valentine cards and projects are not very pink, girly, or filled with tons of lace or hearts, this is because all of our kids are boys except for one. (The girly ice cream card is for her.) Today's project is for my oldest son so I decided to go with a Treasure chest. This cut is from the Imagine cartridge Buccaneer. Although I love the cartridge and all of the cartridges I  bought for my imagine, I absolutely HATE my imagine! It has never worked right and it cost a fortune. :( anyway, because of that I cut this out on my explore :)  I found some really great red wood grain paper in my stash, perfect for adding some valentine red into my project and the wood pattern was  prefect for the treasure chest. I love the way the added crinkle ribbon and brads gave it texture.
I'll be adding this project into these challenges:

Cards Tv 3-D: Valentine's Treat Box or Bag

Card Recipe:

Cricut Cartridges: Buccaneer (Chest), Sweethearts (Heart Lock)

Paper: Craft Smith: Burgundy Rose

Sentiment: Printed from my computer

Cake card ~ Cricut Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge

Hello crafty friends,
Today I have made a simple masculine Birthday card. I don't know about you, but I have a really hard time making cards for men! Because its so hard for me I always feel super excited when I finally have one come out exactly as I envisioned. This is one of those cards, Lol.

For this card I used the Cricut Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. I LOVE this cartridge! This cartridge was one of the very first I got when I got my Cricut 7 years ago. It has so many little cuts that can be used on tons of things, but I tend to over look them and only use the dolls. :( But, not today!
The cut is one layer that I cut out out 2 times, one in brown, and one in white at 2.2 W x 1.7 H. I cut the Frosting and the cake stand off the white cake and added  cream pearl pen to the frosting and silver pen to the base to make the cake pop. The candle was cut by hand from scraps and the flame was colored with glitter marker.

I am entering my card into the Die Cuttin Divas #250 yum! Chocolate Cake Day

I hope you enjoyed my card and have a great day!!

Card recipe:
Card Size: A2 4.25 x 5.5

Hello crafty friends,
Today i'm sharing with you a banner I made for my daughter's room. She LOVES winter!! She can't get enough of the snow, sledding, hot cocoa, and the movie Frozen. :) I'm so not a winter person Fall for me all the way!

She asked me to make a banner for her room and she wanted it before bed time so I decided so go super simple and quick on this one. I used Cricut cartridge Speaking of Winter. In design space you type in whatever word you want for the banner in add text and then go to cricut fonts and pick Speaking Of Winter. (This took me way too long to figure out.)  The banner only took 15 minutes to make + drying time for the Stickles.

 CARD RECIPE:

Cricut Cartridge: Speaking Of Winter

Papers: Not sure, I got them at a garage sale

Extras: Ribbon, Stickles

I hope you enjoyed my project and have a great day!!

Baby Bottle Card ~ New Arrival Cricut Cartridge

Hello Crafty Friends,
One of my goals for 2016 is to use my older Cricut cartridges. I blog-stalk tons of paper crafters and something that I've noticed especially in the last couple of years is that most crafters don't use their older cartridges anymore. Well, I have lots of the older cartridges (and not so many of the new ones) so I am going to try to use the older ones at least once a week and hopefully more than that.

I made this card for my SIL, she had the most perfect little girl a few days ago.

I am entering this in DoubleClick Skittles Challenge ~ Anything goes

Card Recipe Is:

Size:A2 4.25x5.5

Cricut Cartridge: New Arrival, Baby bottle pg 108

Border Punch: Martha Stewart Scallop 3 dot (I covered the last row of holes)

Die: Spellbinders Scallop Circle (I used a hole punch to punch the extra holes)

Stamp: Inkadinkado Welcome Baby

I hope you enjoyed my project and have a great day!!
