Welcome to another Whimsical Wednesday Scrapbook Challenge.
Today's challenge is all about school days. The guide lines for today's challenge is to make a scrapbook layout with a school theme and it must include a chipboard element.
For this challenge the theme was great. I have 4 of my 5 kids in school so we have tons of pictures that need to be scrapped. However, the chipboard element was a little harder for me. Chipboard is not something I've ever used before so I had absolutely none on hand but lucky for me my sister had just gone out and bought a ton of chipboard letters and gave me a pack to play with.
Here is my 2 page 8.5 x 11 Layout
Here is the first page.
For this page the paper came from the dollar section at Target. I used cut files from "The Cutting Cafe" for the apples, the sentiment inside the apple, and for the crayons at the bottom. Since I don't own a cutting system except for the Cricut I just printed the images with my printer and cut them out by hand. :) It's very easy to do.
The "Mrs Thayne" is my chipboard element. These were naked chipboard that I colored with Bic markers and covered in matching Stickles.
Here is the second page.
On this page the Notes and Paper were cut from the "Simply Charmed" cartridge and the pencil was cut from the "Cutting Cafe".
Here are both pages together.
I hope you enjoyed and I can't wait to see what you create.
Our wonderful sponsor today is Regina from the "Cutting Cafe" and she has generously donated to one lucky winner any 3 sets from her store. So please swing on by the Whimsical Wednesday Blog and see what the other wonderful DT members have come up with and of course we would love for you to play along. :)
