Thank You Card ~ challenge #2 w/ my Mom

I've been without the internet all weekend (stupid Comcast!) and I feel so out of the loop. I'll have to do some catchup on my blog stalking. ;)

I made this card for two things the first was for the weekly challenge I have going on with my Mom (the cartridge was "walk in my garden") and the second was I needed a Thank you card for Lori over at LIVE LAUGH SCRAP for some Candy I won.
I can't remember what cartridges I used to make this card except for the base I know I cut that from the Wild Card cartridge. I normally write the carts I'm using down but this week has been crazy and I forgot. :(

I hope you enjoy the card and have a great day. :)

New Baby Card ~ Using Everyday Paper Dolls

I made this card for 2 challenges. The first is Peachy Keen's Tuesday challenge and the second is Emma's Throwback Thursday challenge.
For the PK challenge you had to follow a sketch and use a monochromatic color scheme. For Emma's challenge you had to use either one of the Paper Doll cartridges and embossing.
( I ended up adding buttons to the clothes but forgot to take another picture.)
I hope you enjoy and have a great day. :)
Recipe:

Cartridge: Everyday Paper Dolls
Embossing Folder: CB Spots and Dots
Sentiment: From my computer
Punch: MS Quilt Punch
Stamp: Peachy Keens TMF (retired)

10 Minute Birthday Card Using Your Scraps

Today I decided I wanted to make a card using only my scraps. I have 3 drawers of scraps and one of them is full of what I call Micro-scraps. You know those little 1 inch pieces that you can't really do anything with. Well I seem to have a really hard time throwing any of them away (I always think I'll turn them into confetti but I never do). So today I decided I had to use them or lose them and this is what I came up with. Using my 1 inch hole punch and some Peachy Keen stamps I made 2 Birthday cards in under 20 min.

This one is for a girl. I also used my silver gel pen to go around the card so it took a little longer then the boy one.

This on is the boy one. I used the same stamps on both cards.

I did 4 rows of 3 faces flat to the white mat then added (6) faces on top of Pop Dots.

Heres a side view so you can kind of see how they are popped up.
I had tons of fun making these and they were super fast.
Enjoy and have a great day!

Wish You Were Here! ~ Challenge With My Mom

My Mom And I used to live right down the street from each other and we would craft together all the time but 2 years ago our family moved an hour and a half away and as a result my Mom and I hardly ever get to craft together. So last week as I was sitting at my Cricut aka "Sugar" (That's her name because she gives me a high just like sugar.) making a card for one of the challenges I decided I wanted to do a challenge once a week with my Mom. We used random.org to pick the cartridge (Going Places) and the page (93) and this is my finished card. I don't have the "Going Places cartridge" so I designed the "Wish You Were Here" on my gypsy with my "Sesame Street Font Cartridge" to make it as close as I could to the one in "Going Places".
I made the card in the shape of the state of Utah because that is where I live. I am sending this card to my older Brother that lives in Washington. He has been trying to move down here to be closer to family, but has been having a hard time getting everything together to move down so I made this card as a reminder of how much we miss him. 2 hours after I made the card I found out that everything is settled and that he will be moving down on Feb 3rd. Go figure huh! :)
I hope you enjoy the card and have a great day. :)

Once upon a princess ~ Momo's Tuesday Challenge

(Wow, that orange looks bright! It's really more of an orange sherbet color.)

I made this card for the challenge going on over at Made by Momo. The theme this week is Princess!
I absolutely love everything princess!!
The The princess was cut from the "Once Upon A Princess" cartridge and her face was stamped with PK "Princess Face Assortment". The Pink mat was cut from the "Just Because Cards" Cartridge. I used left over sparkly pink vinyl for the crown, bows and shoes, added gem from i-rock, and doodled with my white gel pen. The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps: "Sweet Somethings"
I hope you enjoy and have a great day. :)

Whale Done! Card ~ Tacky Tuesday Challenge

I found this great new challenge called Tacky Tuesdays. For the current challenge, you were to make a card using the whale cut from the Create a Critter Cartridge and also use the word whale on your card. I was originally going to print the sentiment "Whale, Hello There Friend" but after making the card I realized that I had not left room on my card for that sentiment so instead I used the only "whale" stamp I had.
I hope you enjoy and have a great day!

Recipe:

Cartridges: Life is a beach for the waves & frame, Create a Critter for the Whale & Starfish
Stamps: PK Critter Faces med, Scrappy Mom Amusing Animal
Other: Stickles in Yellow, Diamond, waterfall, gel pens in black & white

I made this card for the challenge over at Paper Playtime.
I used my "Smiley Cards" cartridge For this card. I mounted my image on a action wobble. Mounting it this way made it so cute and fun! (My 24-year-old Brother saw my Card and could't stop playing with it.) I added red Stickles to the hearts and doodled with my white gel pen.
I hope you enjoy and have a great day. :)

Pirate Valentine Card

I made this card for Flaunt it Fridays challenge #7. and also for Cricut Cardz challenge. For FLIF ou needed to use the skull from "Mini Monsters" cartridge on page 65 in a non Halloween way and for CCC you needed to use Red, Black, and White only.
I cut out the pirate from the "Love Struck 2010" cartridge and the little skulls from the "Mini Monsters" cartridge. The sentiment at the top are rub-on letters. I added some red Stickles and white gel pen. (I may have gone a little over board on the doodling.)
I hope you enjoy and have a great day!

Peachy Keen "Let's Face it Friday" Thank you card

Thank you for your Helping Hands.

This card was made for Peachy Keen's LFIF challenge.
I'm not sure what the name of the stamp set is. I ordered these when they were discontinuing some of their stamps but there was no name on the package.
The octopus was cut from the "B is For Boy" cartridge. I used my i-rock to bling her up.

Here is the inside of the card.
I hope you enjoy and have a great day. :)

(It didn't come with the card that has the faces' on it so I just made my own.)
Here is a picture of the stamps. If anyone could tell me the name that would be great. on the package it said PK-525 TMF

Scrappin' With The Neighbor Girl

Wow, it's been a long time since I've crafted! We have been having the hardest time getting into the swing of things here. (The holidays always do that to us.)

Lucky for me our little 10-year-old neighbor girl came over with some pictures to scrapbook. This is the second time she has come over to do a page. The first time I forgot to take pictures to post. :(
We always have tons of fun! She is super sweet and just loves the Cricut!!
Below are a few pictures I took as we crafted. (don't worry I asked her mom if it would be ok to post the pictures.)

Here she is trimming the pictures

Using the ATG gun. She loves that thing! :)

Adding Stickles, another favorite.

She absolutely loves the Peachy Keen stamps so we had to use them on the page. The sun was made using circle punches and then she used yellow stickles to make the rays. She also added red Stickles to the bow in the girls hair.

Here is the finished 8.5x11 page. (I coved up the journaling for privacy reasons.)

Recipe:
Cartridges: A Child's Year (little girl w/flowers), Plantin Schoolbook (Grass)
Stamp: Peachy Keen Everyday Character Face Assortment
Extras: Stickles (Red and Yellow), White gel pen, Polka dot ribbon

I hope you enjoy and have a great day!
